Associate Director of Reporting, Analytics, and Data

Reporting to the Director of Operations, Planning and Analytics (OPA), the Associate Director of Reporting, Analytics, and Data will collaborate with all business units across the Office of Academy Resources (OAR) on matters relating to data analysis, quantitative modeling and strategic reporting. The Associate Director supervises two person team.

Duties and Responsibilities 

•Conceptualize, create and maintain advanced layered reports for analysis of fundraising solicitation efforts, constituent engagement, fundraiser performance, and prospect research and management ; ensure OAR can easily access and run reports 
•Working with OAR, identify and track key performance metrics based on development and engagement goals 
•Participating with the Director of Development, Director of Prospect Research, and other stakeholders, contribute the analytics frameworks, data capture methodologies, and reporting solutions for portfolio/pipeline management
•Conduct quantitative analyses on a broad array of topics to inform strategic, data-driven decision making with a goal to improve development and engagement effectiveness across OAR 
•Using sophisticated tools, build predictive models aimed at understanding future behavior with respect to donors and prospects 
•Assess recurring analytics processes such as scoring models in conjunction with prospect development and data selection, and automate processes whenever possible 
Data Management
•Consult upon and define methods for sharing and storing data to support and enhance information access (through reports, dashboards, and other tools)
•Cultivate and maintain expertise on data best practices; guide and train OAR on proper data management practices
•Design and manage automated data flow processes between and among core databases and satellite applications and tools; design and manage batch data imports as needed

This position will perform additional duties as determined by the Director OPA.  These may include activities to partner with campus colleagues in IT, Finance, and other areas. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

•Bachelor’s degree 
•Minimum of three year’s work experience in analytics and reporting 
•Background in business process analytics, statistical analysis and modeling
•Knowledge of predictive analytics concepts
•Experience and skill with data mining methods, data modeling, and working with data warehouses
•Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and 
develop strategies

Proficiency with business intelligence reporting software, data visualization and output tools, and desktop productivity tools including (or similar to): Advanced SQL, Tableau, Microsoft Excel and other Office suite products, Crystal Reports, SSRS, Business Objects, and Agilon One database
