Associate/Senior Associate Director of College Counseling
Phillips Academy seeks an Associate/Senior Associate Director of College Counseling. The position level will be determined based on experience. This is a 12-month position beginning July 1, 2019. Responsibilities include counseling and supporting students in the college selection and application process, working with students individually and in small groups, building relationships with parents, writing recommendations and providing feedback on applicant essays, advising students on course selection, taking part in professional development opportunities, and other projects and activities as assigned by the Director. The qualified candidate will possess excellent listening, counseling, verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills. The qualified candidate will have substantial program management experience and be poised to mentor staff and oversee significant office projects. We seek individuals interested in being active participants in our residential and athletic programs. Master’s degree and a minimum of five - seven years’ combined experience in college counseling and/or selective college admissions, with an emphasis on college counseling, is preferred.
