Instructor in Studio Art

Phillips Academy seeks a full-time, continuing Instructor in Studio Art / Foundations to begin in September of 2020.  Candidates must have demonstrated skill and teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: 3D design, sculpture, fiber arts, 2D design, and new media.  The specific teaching assignment will consist of three or four class sections per trimester, most likely with two to three preparations (which includes our ninth-grade foundation Visual Studies course).  There may also be opportunities to teach interdisciplinary classes in collaboration with other departments throughout the school.  We seek dynamic candidates who will be active participants not only in the academic program but also in the athletics/fitness and residential programs at this boarding school.  Master’s degree plus a minimum of three years teaching experience preferred.
