Phillips Academy seeks a full-time, continuing Instructor in Philosophy and Religious Studies to begin in September of 2020.  Candidates must be prepared to teach a wide range of courses in both philosophy and religious studies.  Teaching responsibilities will include three or four electives per ten-week trimester at the tenth-, eleventh-, and twelfth-grade levels.  Prospective candidates are encouraged to review Phillips Academy’s Course of Study for a sense of the department’s curriculum.  Candidates must also be committed to cultivating equitable learning experiences for all students and be eager and willing to collaborate with departmental faculty on both teaching and student learning.  We seek dynamic teachers who will be active participants not only in the academic program but also in the athletics/fitness and residential programs at this boarding school.  Master’s degree plus a minimum of three years teaching experience preferred.
