Campus Safety Officer - Overnight Shift - FULL TIMEPhillips Academy Andover seeks candidates for a full time Campus
Safety Officer. Campus Safety Officers
provide safety services that assist the campus community in maintaining order, enhance
the personal safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and ensure the
security of Academy property. The Campus
Safety Officer responds to requests for assistance and will patrol the campus
primarily by vehicle, bicycle, and foot.
This is a full-time, year round position with a schedule of Wednesday through Sunday, 11pm-7am. Hours are assigned to maintain 24/7 coverage,
including holidays, nights, and weekends.
All employees of Campus Safety are considered essential personnel in the event of:
- an emergency that occurs on the Phillips Academy campus, or in the vicinity that would impact the PA campus;
- inclement or severe weather affecting campus or;
- other emergency situations deemed appropriate.
The successful candidate will possess
a high school diploma. College coursework or degree is ideal. Prior security
experience required with 3-5 years preferred. Current driver’s
license with a clean driving record is required. Must be able to work outdoors
in a variety of weather conditions, must be able to perform all essential
physical requirements of the position and enjoy working with adolescents.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Various safety training certifications are compulsory,
and overtime may be required. This is
not a law enforcement position.
