Plumber - Full TimePhillips
Academy seeks a full-time Plumber in the Office of Physical Plant. The plumber will plan and perform
preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities plumbing and heating system
equipment. The qualified candidate must
possess a current Journeyman Plumbing License from Massachusetts Division of
Professional Licensure – Board of Plumbers and Gas Fitters. Possessing a Massachusetts Grade 1 Waste
Water Treatment Plant License, an Oil Burner Technician Certificate, and/or a
Massachusetts Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter License would be a plus for this
position.
Applicants must also have strong
analytical and troubleshooting skills, computer skills, and experience in
reading construction documents, shop drawings, layout work and material lists. Physical ability to perform all job functions
as required in a facilities setting. Overtime required as necessary and participation in the rotating on-call
program to provide 24 hour – 7 days a week off shift coverage for emergency
situations.
When emergencies and/or
extreme weather conditions occur, the functions of this position may be deemed
essential, and employees must report to work and/or remain on duty during their
regularly scheduled work hours or the work hours designated by their
supervisors. Must have and use personal
vehicle while performing job duties.
